June Shoebox Swap

Mark your calendars.  June 30th at 1 for our June Shoebox Swap.  Let me know if you can make it so I can start a list.

June Card Club

The June Card Club met on June 22th at 6 p.m. Here are pictures of the cards we made (thanks Candee I borrowed the pics you took).

.

The top card was a waterfall card.  Even though I printed instructions on how to do it we were challenged.  Maybe if I would have read the instructions, it would have been easiser.

The second picture is a gift envelope.  It is made with one 12 x 12 piece of cardstock.  You could put  a gift certificate in it (way better than a plain envelope they give you) or a large candy bar of another idea we though of was if you have pictures you want to share with someone you could use it for a picture folder.

The top card was made using the Easy Triple Time Stamping Technique.  I cased it from Dawn O.
The dimensions are as follows:
This was by far the WOW card and everyone loved it.  Here are the instructions
The dimensions are as follows:
Vanilla = 2" x 3-1/4", 3" x 4-1/4", 4 x 5-1/4"
Rasberry Ripple = 2-1/4" x 3-1/2", 3-1/4" x 4-1/2", 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (fold for card base)

Rasberry Ripple Ink
Crumb Cake Ink
Creative Elements Stamp Set
Fabulous Florets Stamp Set

Use removable adhesive and stack the 3 vanilla pieces together.  Stamp the background using the Creative Elements stamp with the crumb cake ink.  Hint:  start from the center and fill in the empty spaces.  Next using Raspberry Ripple start stamping the flowers (Fabulous Florets).  Since we used the new ink pads make sure it dries before removing them.  Now adhere the vanilla to the rasberry bases.  Tie a ribbon around the layers and adhere to your card base.  WOW.

This card takes on a different look depending on what stamp set and colors you use.  Explore and try different things.

The bottom card was cased from a card I did several months ago at a Shoebox Swap.  Thanks Teresa B.  I didn't have the stamp set but did have it in MDS so I printed it and everyone cut and punched.

May Card Club

Our May Card Club will be this Friday 5/11.  If anyone wants to get here earlier it will be ok, especially since some of the things we will be doing takes a bit of time.  Make sure you bring your scoreboard, scissors, adhesive, redline tape and your paper cutter (this will speed things up since we won't have to share).

Going to make the tri-fold card, stationary box card and a card (haven't decided which one yet).

This will be the last month of the existing catalog so take a look and make sure you bring a list to check against the retired list (don't want you disappointed if something you want is gone).

See you on Friday.  Susie is the hostess and then Donna S is the hostess for June.

May Shoebox Swap

The top picture from back left is the Santa Treat boxn Candee made and brought for everyone to make with the Stampin Up Petal Die.

The Christmas tree next to that was made by Donna.  It is a combination Sizzix Christmas tree die and it also has the embossing folder with that. You cut out the tree then emboss it and then she had us rub a StazOn Chalk pad across the top. We used red Stickles for one of the embossed words on the tree and then gold Stickles for the star at the top. We used a hole punch and put ribbon on that and it is a tag/tree ornament. This would make a great Christmas ornament or tag.

The lower left picture is the medallion stamp from Stampin Up with a circle punch punched out in the center of that and you put this circle inside the card and add a pearl.

The card to the right of that is a flower pot card. We used Kraft paper and a border punch for that and trimmed it to size and sponged the edges. Tie the ribbon around that to keep it closed. We added flowers to the piece inside the 'pot' that you pull up out of the pot where your greeting would be. Nice card or gift card holder.

The bottom picture---front right card is one stamp and you stamp off---ink the stamp, stamp onto the card stock, then stamp again--without inking it again---trim that piece and put it on your card front add ribbon and a tag and that is done--very quick and easy.

To the left of this is the Tri-Shutter card made by our newest member Elizabeth.  I was going to make this at our card club on Friday but she beat me to the punch.  Still going to make it though for those who didn't get to come to the Swap.

IThe last card in the back is the blue card. This is a "pop" up card.  Again this card was very simple and it has a big impact. Thank you ladies for such good projects and a fun time!

Thanks Candee for putting this on your blog.  I borrowed it so I didn't have to take the pics.  Been busy making things for Friday's club.

Notebook Box

I wanted to make this on Tuesday May 15th from 1 until but no one responded, so we are going to make it at Card Club. Because of the time it takes, we are only going to make the box.  We won't make the cards and tags.
